Class Orientations
What is a Class Orientation?
We understand that walking into a fitness class can be intimidating. As a member of our Y, you receive complimentary Pilates Reformer and Fitness Class Orientations. These are designed to have you meet one-on-one or in small groups with an instructor to go over the basics of each class and familiarize yourself before attending one of our classes. This is free for members with a limit of one per class.

FREE Member Fitness Class Orientation
What is a Fitness Class Orientation?
A Fitness Class Orientation session runs approximately 20 – 30 minutes in length and will be outside of the original class time. The session will be designed to introduce a member to the format of the class, learn basic moves, familiarize a member with any equipment used in class and answer any questions members have. This will be followed with the instructor leading the members through a “mini class” to show you how a typical class will run.
Members who would like to schedule a small group orientation should identify this when scheduling. Instructors will meet with individuals and groups with up to 4 members. It is recommended that you wear comfortable workout clothes and appropriate footwear.
What happens after you register below?
You will receive a call from an instructor within 1 week to schedule your FREE Fitness Class Orientation.
Reminder:
The FREE Fitness Class Orientation will be held at our Vernon Y Branch. There is a limit of one per class.

FREE Member Pilates Reformer Class Orientation
What is a Pilates Reformer Class Orientation?
A Pilates Reformer Class Orientation session runs approximately 50 – 60 minutes in length and will be outside of the original class time. It will provide you with the basics of using the Reformer and find settings that work best for you. This will be followed with moves to help you get a feel for the Reformer and then a “mini class” with basic movements used in classes. This is for members new to Pilates or needing a refresher as it is required before attending your first Pilates Reformer Class with us at the Vernon Y.

You will receive a call from Mary or Amber within 1 week to schedule your 1 FREE Pilates Reformer Class Orientation.
Reminder:
It is recommended that you wear comfortable workout clothes. Bare feet are the preferred method when doing Pilates. Yoga/Pilates socks with grips on the bottom are also acceptable. The 1 FREE Pilates Reformer Class Orientation will be held at our Vernon Y Branch.
