Meet Our Personal Trainer: Lilly!
Hello! My name is Lilly Curtiss, and I am a personal trainer here at the YMCA. I have my personal training certificate from the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) which I earned shortly after graduating. My passion for helping others achieve their health goals goes back a number of years and was nurtured by my experience working in my family’s health and wellness store. I have seen first-hand the positive impact that lifestyle change, and physical activity can have in a person’s life, and have a true desire to assist others in pursuit of their health and fitness goals whenever I can. In my personal time, I can often be found outside with my dog, Cooper, or reading a new book.

Total Athlete
At the YMCA we want our young athletes in our community to get both an early start in their athletic strength and conditioning development, and offer our facility and coaching for individuals who wish to maintain and improve on their peak performance during the off-season.
Training youth in their early athletic development can help them develop general qualities such as power, speed, coordination, etc, and build a solid muscular base as they learn exercise techniques and specialize in their chosen sport in college and beyond.
Training sessions consist of drills followed by resistance training relative to their appropriate age group and development.
Drill Types:
- Mobility
- Agility
- Balance
- Coordination
- Speed
- Power
Resistance Training:
- Exercise Demonstration and Technique Workshop
- 6 week – Exercise Program: Upper Body and Lower Training Days
- Free Weights, Dumbbells, Resistance bands, Specialty equipment, etc.
